I am a full time college student, studying to become a literary agent and a freelance author. I am engaged to a wonderful man by the name of Bert Leach. We will be getting married sometime next year. He has recently enrolled in the army, and we are extremely excited about our future life together. In my spare time i read, write, watch horror movies, listen to all sorts of music, participate in animal rights groups. I will be posting links to all of this in future, so watch out! In the meantine, why not visit PETA, a wonderful organzation designed to help out animals. My alltime favorite horror movie is the Hellraiser movies. Books a blood is a insightful web page designed to fill you in on Clive Barker himself. _________________________________________________ Want to join some other fantastic writing groups? Everything is happening so quickly. Leaning all about the writing industry is a lot of work! I have to review just to keep up as the years go by. Hopefully this page will help you with all of that. If youd like to get a web page of your own designed for you, and I am going to get my own made in the future for a reasonable price, please visit my dear friend Alecia J. Rivas. Email her at [email protected] for a pricing evaluation, a link to her web page, and view other web pages she has done. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| Don't write, " The lady screamed." Bring her in and let her scream. -Mark Twain What Makes A Good Fighter Gathered from Colleen's web page What comes into your mind when you think of a fighter? Is it Rocky or a thug roaming the streets? Is it an ambitious individual who ruthlessly pushes their way to the top? Is it a positive trait of survival? A fighter doesn't have to be violent, good looking, highly talented or an attention grabbing hero. They don't need to turn their world upside down with great fanfare. A fighter is an ordinary human being who's got the guts and inner strength to overcome the obstacles in their lives. They stand against what they believe is wrong, and defend themselves and their loved ones from predicaments that hurt and hinder them. The difference between someone who fights and someone who gives in is that the fighter has hope and a vision for the future. They are willing to put in the necessary effort to get through what lies before them. Everybody cries, everybody faces bad times, but the difference is how long it takes you to get back up again. A fighter is inspired by the achievements and character they see in other people's lives. They don't find it necessary to become a clone, but they are encouraged by the examples they see. A fighter will work out alternatives, try something new, study, talk to people rather than struggle in isolation. They will do their best to find solutions rather than letting more hopeless obstacles find them first. They don't give up. They will look fear in the face and call it by it's correct name rather than using it as an excuse. So what makes some people fighters and others defeatists? It is a choice made individually. Without the inner drive and resolution to be on top of problems (rather than underneath them) you cannot fight for long or effectively.
